Ranjit Singh Ji many know him as hira passed away on early morning Nov 2, 2008. He was a Gursikh person and lived his life as a Gursikh too . He was always willing to serve the community anyway he can specially for young generation by helping in Gurmakhi School and other activites for the betterment of all Kids. Kirtan Program after some 1 hour change is Wednesday 10:30 AM then cremation maybe same day. If we found out more info we will Post the here. All the Houston Sikh and punjabi community is sharing the family sorrow and offering deepest condolences.

Houston, Texas, USA - UNITED SIKHS’ Humanitarian Aid team served over 900 hot meals to evacuees of Hurricane Ike in Houston, Texas over a period of five days from Oct 1st. FEMA and partner agencies contacted UNITED SIKHS requesting that we serve hot meals and distribute emergency supplies to evacuees in Houston. The Sikh Center of the Gulf Coast in Houston, a gurdwara (Sikh place of worship), provided the kitchen facilities to cook hot meals for evacuees. UNITED SIKHS’ volunteers from Austin, Dallas, and Houston prepared meals which were then transported and served at local shelters.
