I recently moved to Sugar Land/Houston. Is there a gurdwara here? I see that there’s Gurdwara Breen Rd and Sikh Center within 5 miles from each other (both are equally far from Sugar Land). Do both have functions (kirtan and langar) on Sunday? Which one do i need to go?
Yes there is Gurdwara in Sugarland Building is underway to be completed soon but until then Gurbani & Kirtan & Sunday Session are held at 2311 William Trace Blvd. Sugar Land, TX. 77478

As For Kirtan, I think All Gurdwaras have Kirtan on Sundays Sikhcenter and Breen have Kirtan for sure Am not sure about Boone Road Gurdwara.
Sugarland is a beautiful part & wonderful community of Houston.
May God bless you with success & happiness in Sugarland
SSA.

Sat Shri Akal ji,
I am Amandeep Singh, a sikh student and have recently joined Rice University, Houston, Texas. I have come to Houston for the first time and am not aware of routes and availability of public transport in Houston. I would be thankful to all of you if you could suggest me which Gurudwara would be nearest to Rice University and also about available public transport to reach there.
Thanks a lot,
Amandeep Singh
Amandeep Singh ji Gurdwara Sahib of Houston at breen road is 19.1 Mile from your location and Sikh Center Gurdwara is 21.9 Mile from your location. Sugarland may be also close. Gurdwara Sahib of Houston at breen road is nearest to a Bus Stop. If you can get a metro bus then First you need to go to Downtown transit center at Gray and LaBranch from transit center You need to Get on to Bus/Route # 85 ANTOINE LTD. which leaves every 25 minuets and cost about $1.25 one way or .60 with fair card and reaches in about 1Hr 20mn. You can get off at Antoine & Romona and walk about 10 min to Gurdwara. For more info on Public transportation you can call Metro at 713 635 4000.
But I hope You will find some one else also coming from your univ to Gurdwara to make it easy for you, its just matter of when you find that person. I hope it help.
